Friendship Festival announces lineup

FORT ERIE - The concert lineup for this year's Friendship Festival has been set.

There are five nights of music scheduled – running from June 27 to July 1.

Headlining the concert at Mather Arch on June 27 is 'Simply Queen' a tribute act that plays songs from the prolific British rock group Queen. Also performing will be Jessica Wilson, UTI and Take Cover.

Performances June 28 include Billy J. White, Tim Hebert & Borderline, Amy Rose, Lindsay Broughton and Autumn Hill.

On June 29, taking the stage will be Amber Reigns, The Howling Horns and Stone River.

June 30 is Tribute Night and headlining the show is Green River, playing classics by Creedence Clearwater Revival and John Fogerty. Also taking the stage will be Thunderstruck, an AC/DC tribute act and Keep the Faith, playing classic hits from Bon Jovi.

At 2 p.m., festivalgoers will be treated to the sounds of Pretzel Logic, Circle 5, Stereo Sunrise and Sarah Bolton.

On July 1, the Niagara Music Awards will offer an artist showcase – with performances from Corey Cruise, Fenian Reid, Straight South, Paige Kopp, The Kac, A Book for Wanderers, The Black Flies, Aaron Berger and Barbudos.

The annual 'Festival's Got Talent' will run on June 28 and 29 and the finals will be held July 1.
